Long essay type questions
are actually more straight forward. Most
of the time, the questions are divided into a number of parts. The instructions
are more specific and clear. The marks
are assigned according to the amount of content expected and key concepts in the answer.
To prepare for the exams,
the key is to master the basic concepts. Most of the questions are: briefly
describe the objectives, the principles of operation, and the process, provide sketches
and diagrams, and list the advantages, disadvantages, limitations and applications
of essential equipment.

CSA B51 codes and provincial Act and Regulations are allowed to be used in the exams.
